Ellington Hotel New York

Originally built in 1922, this classic pre-war apartment building was renovated in 1998. Lobby and halls have marble floors, ornate ceiling moldings and framed black and white prints of New York, giving this Upper West Side hotel a vintage New York vibe.

Rooms are tiny but come with imported towels and linens, two-line telephone, iron and ironing board.

Located in the Columbia University area, there are many restaurants, bars and jazz clubs nearby, and the scenic Riverside Park is just down the hill.
